Define what a kit is made of, then run an assembly order that checks stock availability, consumes the components and produces the finished good with genuine stock moves in one step.

Kit Definitions

Define a finished kit product plus a flat list of components and the quantity of each needed per unit of the kit, with a live estimated kit cost based on today's component standard costs.

Assembly Orders with Auto-Scaling

Pick a kit and a quantity to build; component requirements are scaled automatically (quantity per kit times quantity to build) into a draft consumption plan.

Availability Check Before Completion

Before an order can be marked done, on-hand quantity of every component at the source location is checked, and any shortage blocks completion with an itemized message.

Real Stock Moves

Completing an order creates genuine stock.move records consuming each component into an internal production location and producing the finished good out of it, so quantities on hand move exactly like any other Odoo stock operation.

Component Cost Transfer

The components' current standard cost is summed and divided by the quantity produced to roll up a unit cost for the build, optionally written straight onto the finished product's Standard Price.

Draft to Done Lifecycle

Assembly orders move through draft, confirmed, done and cancelled states with a reset-to-draft path, full chatter trail, and per-line cost detail.
