Purchase Framework Agreement & Call-Off Release lets you negotiate a price and committed quantity with a supplier once, then draw it down over time through call-off releases instead of renegotiating every purchase order. Remaining commitment, fulfilment progress and expiry status are tracked live on the agreement, with a real purchase.order generated on every release.

Key Features

Framework (blanket) agreements

Header record with supplier, validity window, buyer and one or more commitment lines, moving through Draft, Confirmed, Expired, Closed and Cancelled states.

Commitment lines with live tracking

Each line holds a product, committed quantity and agreed price; released and remaining quantity plus their monetary equivalents are computed live, and a product can never be entered twice on the same agreement.

Call-off release wizard

Draws a quantity down against a commitment line, pulls the price from the agreement (with an optional explicit manual override), and generates or appends a line to a real purchase order.

Remaining-commitment and progress tracking

Committed, released and remaining quantity and amount are rolled up per line and per agreement, with a fulfilment progress percentage; cancelling the generated purchase order gives the commitment back.

Over-commitment guard

A call-off that would exceed the remaining quantity on its commitment line is rejected before any purchase order is created or modified.

Expiry alerts and auto-expiry

A daily scheduled action flags agreements approaching their validity end date, posts a chatter warning and schedules a follow-up activity for the buyer once, then automatically expires agreements once their end date has passed.

Call Off From Agreement action

Available both on the agreement itself and on any purchase order already linked to a framework agreement, opening the call-off wizard pre-filled.

Pure-python commitment engine

Commitment totals, expiry status and days-to-expiry are computed by an independently unit-tested framework-free engine (services/framework_calc.py) shared by the agreement, the wizard and the cron.
