Digital receipts by e-mail from your Odoo till
Paid POS orders send a branded receipt through your own mail server; opt-outs, retries and bounces are tracked
When a till order is paid and the customer is known, the receipt can go out automatically by e-mail through the outgoing mail server you configured in Odoo, with your header, VAT breakdown, imprint and footer. SMS works through Odoo's SMS app when you install it. Customers who object are kept on an opt-out list, every delivery is logged with its state, and failed or bounced receipts can be sent again.

Your own mail server
E-mails are sent with Odoo's mail system through the outgoing server you configured.
Templates
Header, thank-you line, imprint, VAT ID, footer, e-mail subject and SMS text per template; one default per company.
VAT breakdown
The e-mail lists the lines, the total and the VAT per rate.
Channel choice
E-mail, SMS or automatic (e-mail first). SMS uses Odoo's SMS app if it is installed.
Opt-out list
Customers who object are not sent receipts on that channel.
Delivery log
Every receipt with channel, recipient, state, attempts and error; retry and mark bounced.
Summary
Total, sent, failed, pending, by channel and success rate for a period and till.

Questions
Does the digital receipt replace the fiscal receipt?
No. The default footer says so: it is an additional digital copy, not a fiscal receipt.
Which SMS provider is used?
The SMS app of Odoo, if installed. Without it, SMS deliveries are marked failed with a clear message.
