Soil and aggregate test schedules, calculations and certificates
Geotechnical and contractor laboratories calculate results in spreadsheets, retype them into certificates and lose track of outstanding tests. Soil Lab Test Results schedules tests per sample, calculates the results from the raw readings, routes them for approval and prints numbered certificates with charts.
Key Features
Sample receipt
Lab number, project, client, source (borehole, trial pit, stockpile, borrow pit, placed fill), source reference, condition, mass and receipt date.
Test schedules and workload
Schedule moisture, Atterberg, grading and compaction tests for many samples at once with a due date and technician; a kanban per technician and overdue reminders keep the work visible.
Moisture and Atterberg limits
Moisture content from container, wet and dry masses. Liquid limit by fall cone at 20 mm or Casagrande cup at 25 blows from a fitted line, plastic limit, plasticity index and plasticity chart class (CL, CI, CH...).
Grading with curve
Percentage passing from sieve masses, D10, D30, D60, uniformity and curvature coefficients, gravel, sand and fines with a grading description, and a log-scale grading curve.
Compaction curve
Dry density from mould masses and moisture, maximum dry density and optimum moisture from a fitted parabola (or the highest point when the data has no peak), with the zero air voids line.
Approval and certificates
Technicians enter results, managers approve. Approval assigns a certificate number and the certificate PDF shows the readings, results and chart.
Turnaround reporting
Turnaround days per test, a pivot by test type and a PDF of outstanding tests with average, maximum and on-time percentage per test type.
