Connect Odoo directly to your Trade Me (New Zealand) seller account. Create Buy Now and auction listings from your products, including one listing for all sizes or colours of a product, with the Trade Me category, attributes, photos, shipping template, promotions and payment options, then edit, relist or withdraw them without leaving Odoo. GST-inclusive prices and free stock are pushed automatically, buyer questions are answered from Odoo, fixed price offers reach your bidders and watchers, sold items arrive as NZD sale orders with buyer, delivery details and shipping, and fulfilment status, courier tracking and buyer feedback go back to Trade Me — all driven by your own Trade Me OAuth credentials, connected in a few clicks. Key Features
Listing Management
Create a Trade Me listing from any product variant: Buy Now only (fixed price with stock) or auction with start, reserve and Buy Now price. Validate it and check the Trade Me fees first, then list, update, relist (with your current price and stock) or withdraw it (sold or not sold). The full listing form is resent on every update, as Trade Me requires, and a rejected request keeps its reason on the listing.
Multi-variant Listings
List all variants of a product (for example sizes S, M and L) as one Trade Me listing: the options come from the product attributes that differ between the variants, and every variant keeps its own SKU, GST-inclusive price and free stock. Variants without stock are left out and join the listing once stock arrives; a variant that sells out is withdrawn on its own (or kept and flagged, as you choose). Sales resolve to the exact variant.
Promotions, Second Category & Make an Offer
Choose a Trade Me promotion (Gallery, Feature, Feature Combo or Super Feature) from the ones the category offers, add a second category where Trade Me allows it, allow buyers to Make an Offer with a maximum number of offers, and Boost a live listing with one click. The category rules are checked in Odoo before anything is sent.
Fixed Price Offers
When a listing closes unsold, send a fixed price offer to its bidders and watchers from Odoo: pick the members, the GST-inclusive price, one, three or seven days and the quantity, and withdraw the offer if needed.
Categories & Attributes
Download the Trade Me category tree once, pick a leaf category and fetch its details: allowed durations, photo limits, promotions, second category and Make an Offer rules, legal notice and attributes with their options. Required attributes are checked in Odoo before anything is sent.
Photos, Shipping & Payment
Product images are uploaded to Trade Me (PNG, JPEG, GIF and BMP as is, other formats converted to JPEG) and reused on updates when unchanged. Free or custom shipping options (up to ten), pick up rules or one of your Trade Me shipping templates, downloaded and picked by name. Payment follows the Trade Me marketplace rules: Ping always, Cash and Afterpay optional, Cash only above $25,000.
GST-inclusive Price & Stock Sync
The Buy Now price comes from your NZD pricelist and is grossed up with the product's GST, because Trade Me shows GST-inclusive prices; not GST registered sellers send the price as is. The quantity is the free stock minus Trade Me quotations not yet confirmed, capped at Trade Me's 1000 units. An hourly job fetches new orders first, then updates only listings whose price or stock changed. When stock runs out the listing is withdrawn, or kept and flagged, as you choose.
Buyer Questions
Unanswered questions on your live listings are fetched into Odoo, linked to the listing and product. Your sales team answers them from Odoo (500 characters, as on Trade Me) and Trade Me notifies the buyer.
Connect in Minutes
A built-in wizard obtains your Trade Me access token: enter your application key, open the Trade Me authorisation link, paste the PIN, done. It switches on the scheduled jobs you choose. Sandbox and live accounts are both supported. Settings show the connection, the last order fetch in your time zone and the last error at a glance.
Sold Order Sync (pull)
A scheduled job (interval set in the settings) and an on-demand button pull your Trade Me sold items page by page with any documented Trade Me filter (Last45Days by default, Last7Days, PaymentReceived, GoodsShipped, SaleCompleted and more). Each sold item becomes an Odoo sale order in NZD with the buyer, phone, country, delivery address, the item line and a shipping line; the buyer's message is posted on the order. Trade Me status and payment-review state are kept in sync on every fetch, and one faulty sale never blocks the others.
Product Matching
Sold lines resolve to your products by Trade Me SKU, Odoo internal reference or barcode, within the Trade Me company, and items listed from Odoo also by their Trade Me listing id (including earlier ids of relisted items). Unmatched lines are still imported with the listing title and price so order totals are preserved; the order is flagged "Needs Product Mapping" and is not auto-confirmed until you set the product.
In-trade Listing Refresh
Pull your active selling listings and write live bid and view counts, end date and the listing id onto the listing and the matched product, on demand or via a periodic cron. Listings that closed unsold are marked "can relist".
Fulfilment Status (push)
Push the Trade Me status transitions — EmailSent, PaymentReceived, GoodsShipped and SaleCompleted — from the sale order, or in bulk from the order list with a single wizard. GoodsShipped is sent automatically once every delivery of the order is validated, and the courier tracking number is attached to the sale on Trade Me. Place positive, neutral or negative feedback on the buyer from the order, or let Odoo place your positive feedback text when you mark the sale completed. A rejected update is reported with Trade Me's reason, never shown as done.
NZBN Validation
Validate the 13-digit New Zealand Business Number (a GS1 GLN) on partners using the official GS1 modulo-10 check-digit algorithm and the New Zealand GS1 prefix.
New Zealand GST (15%)
Trade Me prices are GST-inclusive. Imported lines are converted to your Odoo tax setup so the order total equals the Trade Me total, even when your 15% GST is configured as tax-excluded. Every order shows its net and GST split with the New Zealand 3/23 rule; sellers who are not GST registered tick one setting and see no GST.
BYOK OAuth 1.0a
You hold your own four Trade Me OAuth values (consumer key/secret, access token/secret). The connector signs every request with HMAC-SHA1 and sends them only to the Trade Me endpoint you configure.
Sandbox & API Log
Point at the Trade Me sandbox (api.tmsandbox.co.nz) or production with one setting. Every call is logged with operation, HTTP method, status, duration and error excerpt (credentials are never logged); clients retry 5xx on idempotent verbs with 30s timeouts.

How it works
- In Odoo, open Settings → Trade Me and click Connect Trade Me Account: enter your application's consumer key and secret, open the authorisation link, paste the PIN and choose the scheduled jobs to switch on (or paste your four OAuth values directly and click Test Trade Me).
- Click Download Trade Me Categories and Download Shipping Templates, set your default shipping and what happens when stock runs out.
- Keep the Trade Me company in NZD, or give it an NZD pricelist, and tick Not GST registered only if you do not charge GST.
- Map each product's Trade Me SKU (or rely on the internal reference) so sold lines resolve to products.
- Create a listing from a product (Sales → Trade Me → Listings): choose the category, fetch its details, fill the attributes, check shipping and photos, click Check Fees and List on Trade Me. For a product with sizes or colours, tick Multi-variant listing and click Load Variants.
- Price and stock follow Odoo automatically; answer buyer questions under Buyer Questions; boost, relist or withdraw from the listing, or send a Fixed Price Offer when it closes unsold.
- Sold items are imported by the Fetch sold orders job, or click Fetch Orders Now.
- Mark Paid, Shipped and Completed directly from the imported sale order, or in bulk from the order list, send the courier tracking number with Send Tracking to Trade Me and place buyer feedback with Place Trade Me Feedback.

Listings
Every Trade Me listing with its Odoo product, listing ID, price and quantity on Trade Me, units sold and status: active, draft, unsold (can relist) or withdrawn, including a multi-variant listing. A listing whose last Trade Me action failed is shown in red with the reason on its form.
Listing price and stock
The Buy Now price comes from the product price including 15% GST; the quantity is the free stock minus unconfirmed Trade Me quotations. Price and stock are pushed to Trade Me when they change. Promotion, second category and Boost sit on the same form.
Shipping and payment
Shipping options with GST-inclusive prices (or one of your Trade Me shipping templates by name), pick-up choice, Cash and Afterpay, and Make an Offer with the maximum number of offers. Ping is always offered, as Trade Me requires.
Category attributes
Attributes of the Trade Me category, with the ones required to sell flagged and checked before the listing is sent.
Photos
The product image and extra photos in display order, with the Trade Me photo ID once uploaded.
Withdraw a listing
Withdraw as not sold with a reason, or as sold outside the listing with a sale price.
Buyer questions
Unanswered questions fetched from Trade Me for your listings; answer them from Odoo.
Trade Me category
A downloaded Trade Me category with its allowed durations, auction and relist rules, photo limits, promotions on offer, second category and Make an Offer rules, and attributes.
Product smart button
The product form shows how many Trade Me listings the product has.
Imported Trade Me order
Listing and purchase IDs, Trade Me status, payment method, shipping charge, feedback state and the GST split; mark the order shipped or completed, or place feedback on the buyer, from the header.
API log
Every Trade Me call with its operation, method, URL, status code and duration.
