Procurement Schedule
Order long-lead items in time, worked back from the date they are needed on site.
For contractors who must not wait for lifts, switchgear, facades or chillers. Each package is back-scheduled from its required-on-site date through delivery, manufacture, approval and tender periods; milestones show their float, late packages are flagged and the buyer gets an activity.
Key features
Back-scheduling
Latest tender, approval and order dates worked back from the required-on-site date and the four periods; trade defaults and an installation task deadline can drive the dates.
Milestones with float
Tender issued, tender returned, approved, ordered, shipped and delivered with latest, planned and actual dates, float and late flag; baseline and variance.
Late risk
A package is late when a milestone passes its latest date or the forecast arrival is after the required date; the daily scheduler plans an activity for the buyer.
Tenders and submittals
Bids ranked by amount with spread, award that sets the supplier and lead time, submittal revisions whose approval closes the approved milestone.
Purchase order link
Request for quotation from the package; confirming the purchase order sets the ordered date and full receipt sets the delivered date.
Expediting and reports
Expediting log with promised and shipped dates and reminders, look-ahead list, procurement log import and the schedule PDF with order curve and supplier performance.
Who uses it
General contractors
Long-lead packages tracked on every project from the programme.
Procurement teams
One list sorted by the date each order must be placed.
Project managers
Late packages seen while there is still float to recover.
How it works
- Create packages with the required-on-site date and the periods
- Tender, award and approve the submittals
- Order through the linked purchase order
