Import stock movements, value every article at a cut-off date, apply the lower of cost or market and a slow-moving provision, reconcile with the ledger and compare two statements
Import movements (opening, receipts, issues) from a CSV or pasted lines, value every article at the cut-off date with weighted average cost (CMP), FIFO layers or standard cost, and get the gross value, the market write-down when the market price is below cost, a slow-moving provision from your policy brackets by age and/or months of cover with a floor, and the net value. Each statement shows the ABC classes, slow movers, issues not covered by stock and the gap with the ledger balance against a tolerance; it moves from draft to computed, validated and locked, and exports the valuation sheet and the FIFO layers. A variance compares two statements article by article. Figures only: no journal entry is posted.

Movement import
CSV or pasted lines with code, date, type (opening, in, out), quantity, unit cost and reference; unknown articles can be created on the fly.
Valuation at a cut-off
Quantity, unit cost and value per article with weighted average cost, FIFO layers or standard cost.
Lower of cost or market
When the market price is below the unit cost, the difference times the quantity is written down.
Slow-moving provision
Policy brackets by age in days and/or months of cover, the higher rate when both are used, capped by a net-value floor.
Analysis
ABC classes of the statement, slow movers, months of cover and issues not covered by stock.
Ledger reconciliation
Stock account balance, gap and percentage, reconciled within the tolerance.
Statement lifecycle
Draft, computed, validated, locked; a validated statement cannot be recomputed; CSV valuation sheet and FIFO layer detail.
Variance
Opening and closing statements compared per article in quantity and value.
